The Star Wars movie franchise ended with ‘The Rise of Skywalker’, a film that left more dilemmas than it solved, since it again proposed the return of Palpatine, something that did not please the fans, but it seems that devotees from a galaxy far, far away are about to see IT star Bill Skarsgard play the young version of the character which turned Anakin to the Dark Side and possibly redeem him from what we were shown in the sequels.

The character of Palpatine was the most memorable villain in the first two trilogies, while in this third installment he suddenly showed up after both Kylo Ren and Snoke were thought to be the villains. In ‘The Rise of Skywalker’, it was implied that Palpatine survived and was behind all the events of the most recent trilogy, something that did not please the fans since they simply brushed aside the initial villains.

After many projects were announced during and after Disney’s investors show, many fans have been formulating their hypothesis about what can be to expected from the upcoming series and movies. Among one of the unexpected productions, The Acolyte, rumors have recently surfaced about a young Palpatine appearing in the show, and the protagonist to bring him life is none other than the Pennywise interpreter, Bill Skarsgard.

Although the soon to be emperor might not have a major role in this series, a possible spinoff concerning the origins of the character could be expected to come of this. In the IT films, Skarsgard proved to be a talented villainous interpreter, so this role wouldn’t be out of his area of expertise. Without a doubt, fans would welcome the actor with open arms and expect to see, perhaps, sometime in the future, The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise worked in a solo Palpetine series.
