Fans have been asking for a live-action ‘Spider-Verse’ and apparently, Marvel will introduce it in the next movie of the arachnid, given that, Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro, the possibility has opened up. Thus, we will see Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire wall crawl their way back in ‘Spider-Man 3’.
On Friday it was confirmed that Jamie Foxx will play Electro again in ‘Spider-Man 3’ and a few hours later, the actor uploaded a photo to his Instagram in which we can see the three existing film versions of Spider-Man about to face off against the villain. Although the image was deleted shortly after, fans began to speculate that the film will spotlight the ‘Spider-Verse’.
So apparently, the rumors were true, Marvel has been developing this project in secret for a long time and now the company has begun to disclose their plans little by little. With the news of Foxx returning to his role initiated in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, the pieces are falling in place to launch the production that will give rise, for the first time, to the three versions of Spider-Man in the same movie.
According to the site, FandomWire, Marvel has been having secret conversations with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, with regard to return and interpret their roles as ‘Spider-Man’ in the next superhero movie. The character is already extremely special to both actors, clearly they will soon reach an agreement and soon we will see them wearing the wall crawler suit again.
Likewise, FandomWire sources revealed that the studio already has a written script in which the three superheroes will join forces to face various villains from the past. In addition to Electro, we could see the return of Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Lizard, among other antagonists.
This is how it was revealed that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire would appear in ‘Spider-Man 3’, however, this is not 100% confirmed, so we will have to wait for the film to start production to know the truth.
