Matt Reeves, the filmmaker behind the last two sequels of “Planet of the Apes”, was free to choose the new Bruce Wayne after the resignation of Ben Affleck to the project. The director will produce the film with his collaborator Dylan Clark.
Robert Pattinson (32) is known for his role as Edward Cullen in the youth film “Twilight” and his name was voiced for a few months.
With this, Pattinson will be the sixth actor of the “modern era” to play the “Dark Knight,” after Michael Keaton took the role in 1989.
Interestingly, Pattinson’s next film project is the new (still unnamed) film by Christopher Nolan, one of the last Batman directors in the cinema.
Pattinson has a total of four films that premiere this year, starting with “High Life,” “The Lighthouse,” “The King,” and “Waiting for the Barbarians.”
