A Miami resident went down into the water for a swim on her birthday and was unpleasantly surprised to come face to face with a shark. She still managed to keep her calm throughout the entire encounter.
A woman who was celebrating her birthday on a friend’s yacht off the Bahamas was swimming when a shark surfaced a few feet from her. Then she found herself face to face with the predator.
Her friend was filming her when the shark appeared. On the video that went viral, someone screamed at her not to panic.
Faced with the formidable fish, the bather shows impressive composure and the shark ends up continuing on its way, reports the New York Post.
The media stated that, although they were not certain, it was probably a nurse shark, a species considered not dangerous to humans.
