Gino Meekest was hunting with his wife and grandson when they heard a strange noise coming from behind the trees, unlike any other animal sound. Then the dreadful roar was repeated and the man decided to record it.
An experienced hunter, Gino said in an interview with Vice not knowing what could utter such a cry: “I’ve heard many different animals in the wild but nothing like this. I grew up hunting with my grandfather for the first 12 years of my life,” Meekis explained. As the frequency of the sound increased, the family decided to head for their car.
Internet users were quick to react, supposing that the cry could be that of Bigfoot (“big foot”), legendary creature which was never found.
However, Biologist Jolanta Kowalski, the representative of the Ministry of Natural Resources, wrote that according to biologists, it could be a mammal, for example a wolf, “but because it’s a considerable distance from the recorder there is no way to know for sure,”
