This week Deadpool finally managed to get to the Chinese cinemas thanks to his PG-13 film entitled Once Upon A Deadpool, a historical opportunity for the franchise that actor Ryan Reynolds did not want to miss, not even because of the fact that he had scheduled surgery on the day of the premiere.

Reynolds, who has played Deadpool since his infamous appearance on X – Men Origins, traveled to China to present the film for the first time to audiences in that country.

In that scenario, while the fans on that side of the world were excited to see for the first time (legally) the adventures of Wade Wilson, the actor took advantage and talked about what they can anticipate coming for the rest of the followers of Deadpool.

According to what was collected by the site Variety, in the showing of Once Upon A Deadpool,  Reynolds said that “his team was already at work on Deadpool 3,” a film for which, according to the actor, “they are looking to go in a completely different direction.”

Reynolds did not explain if with that new address he refers to following the PG-13 path like the way he did with Once Upon A Deadpool or another type of style. However, the Deadpool interpreter added that often, they reboot or change a character maybe like four movies too late.” What could hint that the creative team would have in view a renewal of some aspect of the franchise.

Of course, that Deadpool 3 effectively becomes concrete is still under a mantle of doubt in the middle of the agreement between 21st Century Fox and Disney, which could transfer the mercenary and the rest of the mutants into the hands of Walt Disney.

Anyway a few days ago Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick, the writers of  Deadpool, were confident about the future of the franchise even pointing to the X-Force movie as a prelude to Deadpool 3.

“According to the chronology we have established, X-Force will be the next (movie), before Deadpool,” Reese told Screen Rant. “It’s a bit of the “Iron Man 1, Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Iron Man 3” model, in that sense.

X-Force isn’t being written by us,” the screenwriter added. “It’s being written and directed by Drew Goddard, or at least that’s the plan right now. We’re not involved with that one. We do anticipate there will be a Deadpool 3 at some point, but it’s just a little premature, because it will definitely take a backseat to X-Force for the time being.

It should be noted that at the end of  Deadpool 2, specifically in the post-credits scenes, much of the things that happened in the film and that were crucial to the movie were changed and modified. That is, Wade Wilson makes a clean slate in some of the most shocking moments, those that change history forever, so now we will see a  Deadpool 3  that starts from a totally different world and situation.
