Recently, having asked to delay his latest court proceedings to film Fantastic Beasts 3, it appears that Johnny Depp will be spending much more time in the courtroom as his complicated legal battles with his ex-wife Amber Heard continue. And although he will no longer play Jack Sparrow, Disney insists on making two Pirates of the Caribbean movies without his participation. According to recent reports, there are many other franchises that he could end up joining, and Marvel appears to be one of them since they have met to plan this out.

Even though his legal issues have continuously gone on for a long time now, it seems that he will not lack work. His participation as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts saga is soon to begin filming, and he is also scheduled to join Robert Downey Jr. accepting the role invitation to join him for the Sherlock Holmes 3 movie.

But also a couple of weeks ago, actor Johnny Depp spoke with Marvel with the idea that he would play the villain of Ghost Rider, Bounty Hunter / Lemuel Haskill. And while that is still an option on the table, sources who said Ben Affleck would return in The Flash and that National Treasure 3 is in development, which both rumors came to be true, now claim that Depp is actually discussing multiple characters for the MCU.

In addition to Bounty Hunter, Johnny Depp’s conversations with the studio have reportedly also considered him as a candidate for the character Corsair, who leads the Starjammers and is the father of Cyclops and Havok. As well as the villain Korvac, who has been linked as the main villain in the movie Captain Marvel 2.

While no contract has been signed yet, it is confirmed that Depp has spoken about each of these roles and, as we all know, the more conversations their are between both parties, the more likely the actor will join the MCU.
