Will Ali Mills return to Cobra Kai season? The assumptions do not stop accumulating. Actor William Zabka has commented on the importance of the character who was the love of his life.

The hit Netflix series, Cobra Kai, has revived one of the most popular stories of the 80s: The Karate Kid, the memorable motion picture where Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai face off.

With the return of William Zabka and Ralph Macchio reliving the characters that made them famous, season 2 of the series has left viewers expecting the return of a key character: Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue).

Columbia Pictures

Cobra Kai 2 introduced Tory Nichols (Peyton List) as a new student of the dojo, who has been characterized as the ‘bad girl’ of the season. After her appearance, fans debated who her parents would be, thus linking her to Mills, the teenage love of Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso.

Now a rumor about the origin of this character has led to some hypothetical assurances, and for some viewers this is supported by the way Tory introduced herself to Miguel, “I’m Tory … with a y”, something that reminded us of the moment when Ali and Daniel met in 1984’s Karate Kid: “I’m Ali … with an i.”

Overbook Entertainment

This rumor has been gaining strength after the interview granted by William Zabka to ComicBook. Here, the actor teased surprises for season 3 of Cobra Kai and spoke about the possible inclusion of Elisabeth Shue to the cast.

“Nothing is as it seems, I can tell you that. Listen, for the character of Johnny, Ali, I’ve been saying this for the last two seasons, she’s a big missing piece of his life. She’s the love that got away and in some form would love to reconnect. But the show is full of surprises,” he commented.

Netflix announced that the new episodes of Cobra Kai will be available in 2021.
