Pixar fans know that the studio is an expert in exploiting emotions. In fact, one of the key elements of his films is the ability to make children and adults cry. And one of the franchises with which they often get this effect is ‘Toy Story.’ His trilogy is special, precisely, for generating feelings so easily and awaken an unusual nostalgia.

Therefore, fans of the franchise should be preparing handkerchiefs for ‘Toy Story 4.’ The next film from the studio is in production and that is why its actors have been able to share some details of their experience on the set. One of the most recent scoops was given by Tom Hanks, who plays the cowboy Woody in the film. In an interview for a British podcast, the actor shared his emotions when interpreting the final scene of the film.

“The way you record ‘Toy Story,’ you’re in a room with the team that has created it. When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually you’re facing them so you can look right up and you can talk about it. But I didn’t want to see them and I wanted to pretend they couldn’t see me,” The actor reported that the end of the film is so intense that he could not confront the other members of the cast.

‘Toy Story 4’: the end of an era

Hanks joins the emotions of his co-star. In an interview in the show The Talk, Tim Allen (who plays Buzz Light Year) said that the end of ‘Toy Story 4’ shocked him so much that there were scenes in which it was difficult to continue: “It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big the idea of what they’ve come up with,” Allen said. “I’m startled. [Toy Story 3] was, I thought, amazing. This, I couldn’t even get through the last scene.”

The details about ‘Toy Story 4’, at the moment, are scarce. The film is scheduled to premiere on June 21, 2019, so we should be receiving the first images and a teaser of the film by the end of this year or the beginning of next.

That said, there are certain concerns about this film. Announced many years ago, the film has suffered several delays. One of the most important was when John Lasseter retired as director and was replaced by Josh Cooley (‘Intensely’). He was not the only person on the team to leave the project, since Jones and Will McCormack, who had the role of writers, were also replaced, apparently due to creative differences.
