Netflix hopes to keep the comic book-inspired streak going with its new series, ‘Warrior Nun,’ a production based on Ben Dunn’s graphic novels, which follows a young woman who comes back to life after she apparently perished.

Once resurrected, she learns that a divine artifact has been embedded in her back and she is now part of a group of warrior nuns, who are tasked with ridding the world of demons.

As can be seen in the first trailer for ‘Warrior Nun’ the series stars Alba Baptista as Ava, Tristan Ulloa as father Vincent, Kristina Tonteri-Young as sister Beatrice, Lorena Andrea as sister Lilith, Toya Turner as Shotgun Mary, and Thekla Reuten as Jillian Salvius.
