Warner is creating high expectations with their extended DC Universe, paradoxically through interesting films individually. Recently they revealed the final trailer of ‘Joker‘, and it is expected that very soon they will do the same with the Harley Quinn movie. We do not know if Joaquin Phoenix (or Jared Leto) will accompany Margot Robbie in ‘Birds of Prey,’ and it seems that the new trailer will not confirm it. Judging by the filtered images, this movie will give way to all the artistic visual potential of its magnificent female cast.

The clear protagonist of these images is Margot Robbie. Leaving behind her tight outfit from ‘Suicide Squad,’ this time Harley Quinn will look more colorful in the style of the circus in which it seems she will be in. Changing the bat for her iconic hammer, a shot of her looking at the camera suggests that she will even dare to break the fourth wall (will she be the narrator of the film?). What is certain is that the film will be much more violent than the previous adventure of the character. The director of ‘John Wick‘ is supervising the action scenes and in this image, a gush of blood confirms the R rated quality of the film.

Among all this visual liveliness, there are also some darker snapshots of the rest of Gotham’s sirens, such as the Huntress played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Although she is not seen with her mask, the makeup on her face already confirms that she will wear it. Another character that we can see here is Arrow’s own Black Canary, who will be represented by Jurnee Smollett-Bell. Finally, it also reveals Rosie Perez look as Renee Montoya and Ewan McGregor as the villain Black Mask that has not yet been seen with his iconic skull face. Let’s see what’s in store for us in the coming weeks.
