Johnny Depp fans rallied to support him and boycott the premiere of The Stand, Amber Heard’s new series.

Johnny Depp is experiencing a serious reputation crisis due to the trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard. His career has already suffered, recently, he was fired from Fantastic Beasts and was disallowed from participating in Pirates of the Caribbean. His fans understand the difficult situation he’s living and decided to organize an initiative to support him on social networks.

Under the hashtag #Deppcember, enthusiasts have flooded Twitter with posts about films from the Jack Sparrow interpreter, with the intention of overshadowing the premiere of The Stand, the new series from the Aquaman actress on CBS All Access. The idea is to do marathons with Depp movies and share massively share about them.

Among the most chosen titles were Sleepy Hollow, Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Beasts and Edward Scissorhands, among others. The fans once again demonstrated their commitment to the Hollywood star, whom they came to help financially.

Additionally, they responded to Heard’s post which announced her new series. Her post on Twitter became a battlefield between her followers and those of the 57-year-old actor.

The conflict also affected Stephen King, the novelist and writer the book, The Stand, which also drew criticism from Depp’s defenders. Although, the interpreter is currently excluded from any production, his ex-wife continues with her career normally and that infuriates most fans.
