Another Netflix series is on the way. The streaming platform unveiled on Friday 28, that the production of Shadow and Bone has come to an end.
The series adapts the stories from the “Shadow and Bones” books. Therefore, the protagonist Ben Barnes (The Punisher) stated in interviews that the production should please Harry Potter fans, by bringing them a new and intricate fantasy world.

Ben Barnes, known for his work on the Marvel series “The Punisher”, will be General Kirigan. The rest of the cast of the new Netflix production also features Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov, the protagonist of the book trilogy; Freddie Carter as Kaz Brekker, a brilliant artist who is the main character in the books of Six of Crows: Blood and Lies; Amita Suman being Inej Ghafa; Kit Young living Jesper Fahey; Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev; Calahan Skogman as Matthias Helvar; Danielle Galligan being Nina Zenik and Sujaya Dasgupta playing Zoya Nazyalensky.
The adaptation features showrunner Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and directed by Lee Toland Krieger (Sabrina).
“Shadow and Bones” takes place in the country known as Ravka, a kind of pre-revolutionary Russia, which is separated from the rest of the world by a deep sea full of vicious monsters. Ravka’s biggest advantage is the magical army – the Grisha – something that no other country has. Barnes’s character runs this faction.
Shadow and Bones still has no premiere date on Netflix.
