Amazon’s series of The Lord of the Rings continues to bring together its cast, and now added actress Morfydd Clark.

According to Variety, Clark will play a young Galadriel, who was played by Cate Blanchett in the Peter Jackson movies. This is the first confirmed character for this new trilogy of The Lord of the Rings series.

The actress joins the cast formed by Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle and Maxim Baldry. While only a few days ago Will Poulter got off the project.

This series based on the work of JRR Tolkien will be set in the Second Age, thousands of years before the adventures of Frodo and the fellowship of the ring took place, Filming is expected to begin next year in New Zealand.

This series is being produced by JD Payne and Patrick McKay, while JA Bayona is scheduled to direct several episodes.
