Bad news for fans of Masters of the Universe, because the live-action movie reboot that Sony is developing has once again suffered a setback and will no longer be seen in 2020.

As the website Deadline reports, Sony has decided to delay the release date of Masters of the Universe until March 5, 2021. This is the second time that it has altered its date, because at first it was expected to be released on Christmas 2019, however, the studio executives had to curb their enthusiasm and decided to postpone its release until “sometime in 2020”, which has been replaced again. We can be sure that something big is making them stall.

This seems to be the only change that has taken place in the plans of the production. Noah Centineo, the boy of the romantic comedie, The Perfect Date on Netflix, continues as He-Man in the new adaptation, as well as the directors Aaron Nee and Adam Nee, and screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, who worked on the Iron Man script and is remaking an original script written by David S. Goyer from the Dark Knight saga.

Although it is still too early to judge, it seems uncertain as to whether or not Sony can overcome the first action film Masters of the Universe that was made in the 80s, with Dolph Lundgren as the powerful He-Man and Frank Langella, who at the time did conquer neither criticism nor the public opinion but was good enough to capture the hearts of the fan base at that time.
