Just as fans from the Marvel cinematic universe look forward to the premiere of “Avengers: Endgame,” Marvel Studios is quietly organizing for the imminent release of “Phase 4” of their universe, which will begin in July with “Spider-Man”: Far From Home.” Another project that appeared on the blackboard is “The Eternals,” a film about a secret race with superpowers created by the “Celestials” to have exceptionally long lives.
“The Eternals” had some news regarding the casting and character tracks that will appear in the film during the last weeks, the most important being the announcement that Angelina Jolie will be the protagonist of the film. There was a lot of speculation about who would be the mysterious character of Jolie for the Marvel movie universe, and according to the specialized site Hollywood Reporter, the protagonist of “Maleficent” will play Sersi in “The Eternals.”
In addition, Pakistani Kumail Nanjiani will join the cast of “The Eternals,” and in that report was the small mention that Sersi will be played by Jolie. For those who are not familiar, Sersi is an Eternal of the fourth generation. She was born in Olympia, Greece, in the ancient world of Earth after the fall of Atlantis and Lemuria. She is different from her Eternal companions since she enjoys being around humanity.
