Dave Bautista has reached an agreement with Netflix to star in ‘Army of the Dead,’ with the return of Zack Snyder to the zombie cinema. Keep in mind that this director has had successful films like ‘Watchmen’ and ‘Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice’ but debuted as a director with the remarkable ‘Dawn of the Dead.’

Snyder himself came up with the story for the film and then wrote the script with the help of Joby Harold (‘King Arthur: The Legend of Excalibur’) and Shay Hatten (‘John Wick 3: Parabellum’). It tells the story of some mercenaries who decide to take the biggest theft in history in Las Vegas, now in quarantine after a zombie plague.

Snyder will have a budget of 70 million dollars, more than double the cost of his debut. For now, there is no date for when they will begin shooting, this might be because Baptist will have to clear his agenda first. He is currently shooting the new version of ‘Dune’ directed by Denis Villeneuve and this Sunday he will face Triple H at Wrestlemania 35.

In addition, Bautista will also return to give life to Drax in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ now that James Gunn has been hired by Disney to direct it and at the time it was commented that he could appear in the sequel to ‘Suicide Squad’.
