Justice League is one of the most requested releases by DC fans, who will have to wait until the end of 2021 to see the original vision from Zack Snyder. Not only was unreleased footage used, but some scenes with the original cast were also re-recorded.
One of the interpreters who had to attend the reshoots was Amber Heard, known as ‘Mera’ in the fictional story. While in the theatrical version she didn’t have much screen time or character development, this just changed and the actress couldn’t be more excited about it.
In conversation with Comicbook, the actress stated that she is counting the days for fans to finally see the result. “I’m super excited about it. We just wrapped on reshoots and I just love nerds. I f*cking love nerds, excuse my language,” she expressed.
After these words, she asserted that she is delighted with the legion of fans who supported the creation of the DC Extended Universe. As she explains, part of her love for “nerds” comes from how they are connected to big projects.
It should be noted that Justice League is not the only project in which she is involved. Aquaman 2 is still in pre-production although, not much information about it has been released, but she assured that she makes every effort to not disappoint her followers.
“I’m super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we’ll be coming back,” she told Entertainment Weekly in November.
