Michael Keaton signing once again with Warner to return to his role as the Dark Knight seem to have gone one step further, as a new rumor claims Johnny Depp will appear as the Joker in a live adaptation. -action of the famous animated series ‘Batman Beyond’.
Confirmed rumors saying that Keton would return as Batman to make an appearance at the DCEU, specifically in the Ezra Miller-starring movie, ‘The Flash,’ which hopes to be released in all theaters in 2022. But it wasn’t long, before The return of Keaton would once again be linked to the live-action of ‘Batman Beyond’.
According to several media reports, the studio is said to already be considering Tim Burton to direct the project, and that his favorite Johnny Depp would appear in Batman Beyond in the role of the Joker. Something that has been mentioned before, since other portals claim that Depp will bring the villain Joker to life in the Batman Beyond movie.
The same sorces ensures that the adaptation will be one of the most acclaimed animated films by fans, since it will be based on the ‘Return of the Joker’. Undoubtedly, fans would be happy to see Burton in the director’s chair again, in addition to seeing an older Batman played by Keaton, and Depp’s proposal for a new Joker, now it only remains to see who would bring Terry McGinnis to life.
Apparently, the project was originally planned to be released on HBO Max, but it seems that the possibility of having Michael Keaton on board the feature film has convinced the studio to make a film release. For now, these plans are rumored to be in full throttle since Keaton accepted to return as Batman.
