In recent months, Twitter has become a place where people can voice their complaints against celebrities who discriminate or have been prejudice in some way, for example, this week the actor Sebastian Stan was accused of being racist, which made him a trend on said social network. Only in this case, opinions were divided on whether the protagonist of ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ was innocent or not.

It all started when netizens found a two-year-old photo of Stan’s girlfriend, Alejandra Onieva, dressed in a kimono at a party. The image that was shared both on her Instagram and one of her friends caused resentment among users who pointed this out as an offense to Asian culture.

As a result, several people demanded that she and the Marvel actor, who was not in the photograph, apologize for this act considered racist, however, netizens did not expect to be blocked by both Onieva and Stan who did not fulfill their request.

The individuals who were blocked took such severe offense, that they decided to create the hashtag #sebastianstanisoverparty (Sebastian Stan the party is over) where they shared screenshots of how the actor and his girlfriend blocked them, in order to prove or persuade others that he was a racist for not wanting to apologize.

Among all the tweets where Sebastian Stan was accused of being racist, there were also comments that were in favor of the actor, mentioning that he was not to blame and the case is only being exaggerated, some even made fun of the situation.

So far neither Stan nor Alejandra Onieva have made a statement about it, but it is believed that there may not be an apology on its way any time soon. In addition, Marvel Studios, which is normally very sensitive to this type of controversy, has not communicated whether this is the reason why ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ was posponed, in fact, it was not even mentioned in the newly released schedule.
