Obviously, that “mystery” referred to in the synopsis is the villain played by Jake Gyllenhaal, an unusual signing because, as fans know, was close to being Peter Parker himself under the direction of Sam Raimi. Gyllenhaal is a great novelty in a cast that includes, in addition to Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton, among others.

And of course, with the special collaboration of Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders, who act as a bridge between this delivery and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; that role was exercised mainly by Robert Downey in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ but everything seems to point to the fact that the original Avengers end their adventures in ‘Endgame,’ whose premiere is scheduled for April 26. ‘Spider-Man: Away from Home’ hits theaters a few months later, on July 5 .

Also returning to this sequel is the composer Michael Giacchino and the director Jon Watts, who before working for Marvel made ‘Clown’ and ‘Cop Car,’ two humble productions very far from the films based on the Spiderman Comics.
