At the end of March, one of the most important conventions of the state of Georgia, Atlanta, was celebrated.

They are a small group of students who love anime, manga, videogames, comics and their desire to dress as their favorite characters, they decided to start a project called Techwood Con.

This small anime and game convention was so successful that 175 people visited it and during the following years, its activities were only board and role games, until they decided to make the decision to reform their ideas and turn it into the convention that is today.

In 2005 they decide to change the name and call themselves MomoCon. The convention was visited by 700 fans from this genre and after the first success obtained the volunteers necessary to create an improved event every year.

Each year, more fans were received and this event is becoming one of the largest conventions in North America. What began as a student event on a university campus has become a convention that had an attendance of more than 33,000 visitors this year.

Now in this convention, you can find anime, video games, LARP, comics, cosplay, role-playing games, science fiction area, workshops, conferences, guest artists, live performances and endless activities that every year makes this event the one that visitor return to.

Photographer Canderson1989 has been attending these events and usually does not miss them. He likes to photograph the talent that shows up cosplaying their favorite character for that particular year. This is some of her work:
