While there is still no indication of his return as Superman, Henry Cavill is preparing to take on another iconic pop culture role.
The Hollywood Reporter announced that the actor joined the cast of the film Enola Holmes and will play the unequivocal detective, Sherlock Holmes.
In this project, which is endorsed by Legendary, Cavill will accompany Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) who will play Enola, the younger sister of the famous detective. All while Helena Bonham Carter (Fight Club) plays the mother of the protagonist.
This story will focus on a missing teen whose father has been killed. The movie will have a script written by Jack Thorne (Wonder) and will be based on the book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries, which were written by Nancy Springer. The director’s seat will be held by Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag). There is still no release date for the Enola Holmes movie.
