To become the strongest man in the world in “One Punch Man“, Saitama underwent hard training that today has been adopted by hundreds of people in real life around the world. Some have shared their individual experiences on social networks, especially on YouTube.

What does Saitama’s training consist of? As revealed in the first season of the anime, to reach his level of fighting that is comparable with that of a monster, he had to do 100 push-ups, 100 squats, 100 sit-ups and run 10 kilometers every day. In addition, he never neglected his three meals a day, plus a banana in the morning. Also, to strengthen his mind and body, he got rid of air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. He had to endure those conditions on this path to becoming a hero and not derive from it for a single day.

A year and a half after starting his training, Saitama began to feel the difference. He lost his hair, but he had already become very strong, to the point that over time he would have no rival to could even match his power.

In that framework, some youtubers decided to replicate Saitama’s routine and from what can be seen in their videos, they really worked out hard.

For example, the investor Sean Seah, well known in the world of finance, decided to follow the advice of Saitama and in just 60 days he had already experienced great changes in his body. Of course, brute force was never obtained. That part of the character’s gains is fiction.

According to Seah, the most difficult thing to follow from Saitama’s training is to keep it constant, every day, so he commented that from day 39, 10% of the work was exercise and diet, while the remaining 90% was mental.

How did he strengthen his mind? Did he lift do pushups with his brain? Seah shared thesen three very useful tips:

  • Have a mental image of what you want to achieve.
  • Have a training partner or support group.
  • Have fun. Enjoy the process

Now, Sean Seah’s case is not the only one you can find on YouTube. There are several testimonies about the “One Punch Man” challenge.

How did this routine make Saitama so strong? While it was explained that he obtained it through his training, in the Manga, it was suggested that somehow, Saitama broke his natural limiter and that opened the doors to his brute force, which no one can withstand. Is it true? That remains to be seen. The only certain thing is that Saitama is bored because he cannot find a worthy opponent.
