No one has confirmed whether we will see Superman in the Black Adam movie, but the producer says there is a possibility.
Much has been said about the failure Warner Bros. and DC has had in trying to emulate something similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With that said, we still have characters like Henry Cavill’s Superman that are really endearing to fans. What DC has been able to do lately is to create superhero movies or villains with individualized storylines like Shazam! and Joker. They were a great success and we are eager to see Black Adam has in store for us.
Henry Cavill is considered to be an enormous focal point because recently the actor confessed that the Superman cape has not been hung (that is, he has not abandoned the character), so rumors began to circulate about another movie of The Man of Steel or about his appearance in the Black Adam movie.
Regarding this topic, in an interview for ComicBook, Hiram García, producer of Black Adam from Seven Bucks Productions, the company founded by Dwayne Johnson, explained:
“I think the DC Universe is a wonderful universe and we’re open to everything,” Garcia explained. “We have big aspirations for it. We’re friends with Henry. [Dwayne] and Henry are friends, it’s a huge comic book brand as well. And I always just loved the idea. Who knows? But man, Black Adam for Superman is really cool. That’d be really powerful.”
So nothing is written yet and the appearance of Henry Cavill in the film has not been confirmed, but the possibility exists and this can excite us a lot.
Dwayne Johnson himself has described his character as someone who “is blessed by magic with the powers equal to Superman, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line. He’s a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people – but he does it his way.”
We can only hope that this movie does not hit Rock bottom like some of the past DC movies. Black Adam will premiere on December 22, 2021.
