Emrie is a little 7-year-old girl who, due to a genetic condition, was born without the gift of sight, but she did not let that stop her from learning how to read braille and has been enjoying it since she was 4 years old.

Now, thanks to her aunt’s initiative, starting a GoFundMe account, Emrie received as a Christmas gift the complete collection of Harry Potter books written in braille, which her father had read to her since she was little and her reaction in the viral video has warmed the hearts of many users.

Little Emrie from Missouri, United States has been hooked on the adventures of Harry Potter, a book saga written by JK Rowling, and thanks to her father who, since she was a baby girl, read the books to her.

However, when she decided to start reading ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ on her own, her family said that the books in the series written in Braille are were quite rare and extremely expensive, each costing up to $250.

Faced with Emrie’s joy for the saga, her aunt Katelyn Suter decided to open an account on the GoFundMe website explaining her niece’s situation and her love of reading, so she asked for help to buy her 7 Harry Potter novels in braille.

In just 24 hours, the collection of the Harry Potter books for the little blind girl managed to raise about 4,226 dollars. Not only did little Emrie receive all the Potter books in braille, the the family decided to buy five more sagas in braille to donate to libraries and schools in the city.
