Helped A Future Oscar Winner With Her Car
In the 90s, the actress Octavia Spencer had just moved to Hollywood from Alabama, and her car got stuck in the middle of Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The only one who stopped to help her? Exactly: Keanu Reeves arrived on his motorcycle and not only asked if she needed a hand, but he himself pushed the car to the side of the road so that Spencer could call a wrecking service. For the movie, The Replacements (2000) he agreed to reduce his salary by 90% !!! in order to be able to hire the legendary Gene Hackman. He did something similar for The Devil’s Advocate (1997), reducing his salary by 2 million dollars to hire Al Pacino. And in the two sequels of The Matrix (2003), he gave up his percentage of the box office profits as long as no special effects team member would be fired. There is also the story that in the first Matrix (1999) he gave 20 thousand dollars to one of the members of the sets construction team when he learned that the team memeber had financial problems during Christmas.

The few times that Reeves has participated in interviews or television talk shows and even movies, he has shown to be kind and have an all-around good sense of humor. In the new Netflix movie Always Be My Maybe, Keanu plays himself but with a hilarious snotty, conceited attitude.
