Although it is hard to believe, in a couple of weeks DC Comics will finally publish the conclusion of Doomsday Clock. The comic that arises as a sequel to Watchmen has suffered a series of delays since presenting its first issue in November 2017, however, it is finally ready to reveal its end.
In that context, DC Nation has given us the first look at the pages that will mark the closing of this epic story.
If you haven’t kept up with Doomsday Clock, No. 11 ended with the stage prepared for the anticipated confrontation between Superman and Dr. Manhattan. Obviously, the latest issue of the limited series will be driven by the development of that battle whose outcome is a mystery even to Watchmen’s powerful character. This is something fans have been waiting for a long time.
But whatever happens in that clash, Doomsday Clock promises that it will “shake to the core” of the DC Universe and who knows, perhaps finally clarify some of the questions that remain unanswered since the beginning of the Rebirth stage.
You can see the first look at Doomsday Clock # 12 below.
Doomsday Clock #12 features a script by Geoff Johns, drawings by Gary Frank and Brad Anderson and will be published on December 18.
