Recently, it was announced that actress Gina Carano was officially booted out of LucasFilms after being fired for some controversial statements she posted on her social accounts. This has definitely put in question the future of her character within the Star Wars universe, since not only was she slated to appear in ‘ The Mandalorian’, but also in the series ‘Rangers of the New Republic’, and apparently, fans have already found the perfect actress who could take her place Cara Dune.
After the news broke that Gina Carano was out of Star Wars, fans have asked for Lucy Lawless to be Cara Dune and join the series of ‘The Mandalorian’, which could be a huge boost to her career.
Lucy Lawless was one of the most famous stars of the 90s, as she starred in the series ‘Xena’, which aired between 1995 and 2001 and had a total of six seasons, but after this role she had brief appearances both in series like movies and has not been able to replicate the great success she had, as the warrior princess.

So far there has been no response from both Gina Carano and Jon Favreau regarding the decision made by LucasFilm, and it is unknown if they will seek to recast this role or if it will be deleted from both ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘ Rangers of the New Republic’, which were expected to star Cara Dune. Even though this literally just happened yesterday, fans have already chosen the possible successor to this role, something that Lucy Lawless could hardly refuse.
