As the months go by, it seems that Zack Snyder’s great plan was never going to come to fruition. Miller is developing his own script, whose result and the decision is dependent upon if he is still involved as the lead protagonist.

But Ezra Miller is not on his own. Ezra Miller is writing the script with legendary Grant Morrison. A big fan of the character, who is also working on Green Lantern and has the experience to create a great story. Right now the two are under contract with Warner Bros. to develop this storyline.

A script, as The Hollywood Reporter points out, which will distance itself from the current style of superhero films related to the studio. Miller wants a more serious angle for the material before his contract expires: next May, according to the same sources.

But Morrison is not Morrison because he delivers jobs every ten years. According to the media, the first draft from the script could be ready next week.

As The Hollywood Reporter points out that if Miller ends up leaving Flash, his relationship with the studio will remain untouched, given that he continues to collaborate in Fantastic Beasts.
