Having incarnated one of Batman’s most iconic enemies, the Oscar-nominated actor could be joining Disney to be a classic villain.
According to The Illuminerdi, the famous 45-year-old will embody the pirate and nemesis of Peter Pan.
For a few weeks it was reported that the giant Mouse company was interested in making a new film adaptation of the story by James Matthew Barrie.
For this particular project, Disney believes that the protagonist of ‘Joker’ has the potential to play the pirate without a hand, which has previously been embodied by Hollywood stars such as Dustin Hoffman and Hugh Jackman.
For this same project, entitled ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’, where Joaquin Phoenix could be Captain Hook, it has also been pointed out that actress Margot Robbie will participate and play the role of Tinkerbell.
If these rumors were true, there will be two actor coming to Disney from the DC Univerese.
At the moment, more details about this production are not known, but it is expected to reach Disney+, the streaming platform that plans to be number one in its field and replace Netflix.
