With Robert Pattinson confirmed as the new and young Batman while retiring the one played by Ben Affleck, many questions remain unanswered. One of them is how the protagonist of Cosmopolis will look in the Dark Knight’s costume. Some followers have made the first snapshots, to give us something to hold on to until the premiere of the first official images.
Affleck resigned the opportunity to play Bruce Wayne and to direct The Batman in January of 2019. Matt Reeves took the reins and decided that his Batman would be much younger than that of his predecessor. Finally, Robert Pattinson got the role to the detriment of Nicholas Hoult.
The Wayne that Pattinson will play will not be linked to the work done by Affleck in other installments of the DC Extended Universe. They are going with a nineties version, adding the young protagonist and not promote its connection with other films that have previously been released. We still don’t know if it will have a connection with Joker, the film starring Joaquin Phoenix that recounts the origins of the villain.
