In the last few hours thousands of social network users were shocked by a new viral video that circulates on different platforms such as Twitter. After a giant crocodile measuring 14 feet in length and weighing 1,102 pounds was captured in a town in Indonesia, where the inhabitants decided to cut off its head as part of a traditional ritual to prevent it from “chasing” them again, they considered the animal to be a “demon”.

According to the head of the Bangka Belitung Natural Resources Conservation Agency, Septian Garo, they tried to negotiate the delivery of the crocodile with the locals to relocate it to a safe place, however, the proposal was rejected “due to religious beliefs”, since they affirmed that, if the animal would be left alive, all the town would be condemned.
