Wild animals sometimes display incredible intelligence by using very creative methods to capture their prey. This tiger is no exception, as it almost snuck up on a deer and succeeded if not for an early warning.
Tigers are famous for their agility but they do not always manage to catch up with the deer which, when fighting for their life, can outrun predators at high speeds. Because of this, tigers must seek new ways to ambush and take their prey by surprise.
A video posted on Twitter shows a tiger curling up and camouflaging so well, it looked like a rock on the road. With this extraordinary deception, the animal tries to capture the deer.
Unfortunately for the tiger, a loud warning goes off, which sounds like it’s coming from langur monkey. These animals are notorious for warning wild deer from a predator, so the camouflage didn’t work. A lucky day for the prey who spotted the crafty hunter and escaped.
