James Gunn began producing this film with this name that planned to carry a story similar to the one from Man of Steel, but with the condition that this character would be full of hate and evil instead of having a desire to protect humanity.
Unfortunately, due to the problems that James Gunn had that cost him his exit from Disney, a movie trailer could not be released before December. Sony Pictures now finally revealed the breakthrough of this new horror movie that plans to debut this year, Memorial Day on May 24.

According to Sony, this film plans to open a new possibility of a genre “subversive,” delivering horror stories but with superheroes. In comics this genre has existed for a long time, and this could be the first step of many adaptations of horror.
