Wesley Snipes could return to The House of Ideas. Marvel Studios took advantage of the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con to announce two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as the lead actor in the Blade reboot.
Although there is no news about the director or writers who will be on the project and there is still no release date, the daytime hunter movie is believed to be released in Phase 5 of the MCU. The most likely scenario is that it will start filming sometime in 2021.
Blade from 1998 is arguably one of the most important comic book movies ever made and for many people Wesley Snipes is the definitive version of the character. So it’s not a surprise that fans want him to appear in the new movie.
This could come true, as major websites have reported, Marvel plans to give Snipes the role of Dracula in the Blade reboot .
Although this information is not confirmed, it would be interesting to see the actor as the antagonist of the character that made him iconic.
What is strange is that there is also a large part of the fandom that does not want to see him as a villain and prefers that he have a cameo as a tribute. It only remains to be seen in the next few weeks if this report turns out to be true.
