Has Robert Pattinson failed the Fandom? After the actor, who is going to be Batman, assumes he has already earned the mask, says he will not exercise during the quarantine, and prefers to be sluggish.

In an interview with GQ, Pattinson revealed that he is not following the training assigned to him to improve his scrawny physique. He does not believe that a muscular physique is that important when it comes to acting.

“I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem. You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the ’70s. Even James Dean—he wasn’t exactly ripped,” said the actor.

In addition, he recalled while he was working on the Twilight saga, he was in worse shape, and yet it still brought him his success.

“The one time they told me to take my shirt off, I think they told me to put it back on again,” he explained.

Of course, he said he does not seek to disrespect the character, on the contrary, he sees it as an honor to play Batman, because many high-level actors, such as George Clooney or Christian Bale, have already played him before

”I kind of like the fact that not only are there very, very, very well-done versions of the character which seem pretty definitive, but I was thinking that there are multiple definitive playings of the character. I was watching the making of Batman & Robin the other day. And even then, George Clooney was saying that he was worried about the fact that it’s sort of been done, that a lot of the ground you should cover with the character has been already covered. And that’s in ’96, ’97? And then there’s Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck’s one. And then I was thinking, it’s fun when more and more ground has been covered.”

He also had the gull to say, “Literally, I’m just barely doing anything,” and revealed that he spoke to Zoe Kravitz, and she told him that she was exercising every day, following the training plan they put in place for her.
