Although the rumor has spread that Marvel wants Robert Downey to put on the Iron Man suit again in the distant future, the truth is that there is nothing concrete between the actor and Marvel studios, so his fate could be in DC.
According to We Got This Covered, Robert Downey Jr. has been having private conversations with Warner Bros to play Hal Jordan in the upcoming ‘Green Lantern’ film, so the DCEU could be the new home of former Tony Stark.
Green Lantern is one of the favorite characters from DC fans, but after the bad adaptation that reached theaters in 2011, the studio let him rest for a few years, however, now he is returning to big screen and what better way than to be interpreted by an actor with experience in the world of superheroes.
What might confirm these rumors is the fact that Marvel and Robert Downey Jr cannot reach an agreement for the actor to return to the MCU. The company considers the salary he is asking for relatively high, and of course Warner Bros. has no problem fulfilling these conditions. They will want to put him in Hal Jordan’s shoes as soon as possible.
