The keynote from Apple last Monday has left us with many headlines. It has been one of the most complete Worldwide Developers Conference starts that have been remembered, so it is not surprising that the press has echoed all its varied news. But above all, if there was something that we took away from this press conference is… the monitor stand for $999.00 dollars.
The famous stand, sold separately from the monitor (which in itself costs $4,999 dollars, $5,999 if you choose matte glass protection with nanotexture), with a $999 price tag that has left no one indifferent. One can underSTAND that since it is a professional monitor, many times these are placed on a custom mounting structure or articulated arms for professional work offices where they are used and therefore the stand does not come in the box, but for it to cost almost four figures it must be an important stand.
Needless to say, such a price instantly became the talk of the Internet. People did not understand very well (well, and still do not) how is it possible that a stand for computer monitor cost such a crazy amount of money, so the memes (oh, the beautiful memes) were released instantly with relatable and comparative images of every kind.
