In an interview with James Corden, Alison Brie revealed that she is aware of the rumors that spread about her in the beginning of the week. The platform Disney+ has opened up a casting call for a new series, She-Hulk. They are apparently looking for an actress just like Brie to take on the role of Hulks cousin.

With a slightly awkward manner, the actress revealed that she didn’t know anything about the speculations until she opened her Twitter account one day and realized that it was a trending topic. Concerning the casting call and being a fan favorite to bring life to the female version of the character played by Mark Ruffalo in the MCU, Brie said it’s interesting to be considered to embody Jennifer Susan Waters on the small screen.

Despite being the number one on the fan list to interpret the character, Alison Brie is not the only one, as many have contemplated actresses such as Stephanie Beatriz ( Brooklyn Nine-Nine ), Betty Gilpin ( GLOW ), Katheryn Winnick ( Vikings ), Gwendoline Christie ( Game of Thrones), Rosario Dawson (Defenders) and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl).

While this character has not been a part of the MCU so far, Disney+ confirmed that a series focused on the life of Jennifer Susan Waters as a hero will be undertaken. In the comics, Susan receives a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner, thus acquiring the powers to transform into a great green beast when she gets angry. However, what differentiated her from the first versions of Hulk, is that she does not lose her personality or intelligence when taking on the Hulk form. This Hulk story version has all the ingredients to be unique.
