Helen Sharman visited the Soviet space station in 1991, at that time upon her return she declared that there could be all kinds of life forms.

Britain’s first astronaut, Helen Sharman, said that aliens exist and that they could be living with us on Earth.

Sharman, who in 1991 visited the Soviet Mir space station, told the Observer newspaper that aliens exist because “There are so many billions of stars out there in the universe that there must be all sorts of different forms of life.”

However, the astronaut said she would not know how they would look, since they may not be composed of carbon and nitrogen.

She also indicated that they could already be living among us, although we probably cannot see them:

“Will they be like you and me, made up of carbon and nitrogen? Maybe not. It’s possible they’re here right now and we simply can’t see them.”

On the other hand, the first British to go to space is not the only person who believes we have already had contact with aliens.

In 2017, a former Pentagon official, in charge of a program to investigate UFOs, told CNN that there is likely evidence that extraterrestrials live on Earth.
