Charlene Leslie, a resident of the Scottish town of Cowdenbeath, will receive a free supply of milk and other dairy products for a year after a video in which she pushes a truck up an icy road goes viral. The merchandise will be provided by Graham’s The Family Dairy, Scotland’s largest independent dairy plant, whose vehicle was ‘saved’ by the women, reports EdinburghLive.
Leslie was on her way to a local store with her children on February 9, when she saw Graham’s vehicle skidding while trying to climb a snowy hill. The woman did not hesitate to act: she left her children in the care of a neighbor who was at the same place and began to push the truck from behind. The recording shows how the vehicle slowly climbs the snow-covered slope, while Leslie pushes it up.
As the footage amassed popularity on social networks, Robert Graham Senior, the president of the dairy company, decided to thank Leslie for her help.
“Although she is a true superwoman, for health and safety reasons we must advise others not to follow her example. As a sincere thank you, Charlene and her family will receive our milk and high-protein dairy products for free for the rest of the year,” the director stressed.
For her part, Leslie admitted that her collaboration was “really dangerous,” although at that time she did not think about herbsfety, since she just “wanted to help.” “I can’t believe all the attention I’m getting for what I did. I just think it’s your duty to help others if they’re in troubleq,” the superwoman stated.
