According to Deadline, the Man of Steel will return to theaters. The news website confirms that a reboot of the Superman franchise is being developed by Warner Bros. for theaters.
Ta-Nehisi Coates is currently in charge of the script for the film while JJ Abrams takes over the production. No details of the plot of the film were released.
Deadline states that Henry Cavill is looking forward to returning, but there is no confirmation that this will actually happen, since the project could be a complete reboot and cast another actor to portray Superman.
The biggest worry fans have with JJ Arams’ involvement, is whether or not his company will wreck the hero’s reputation and storyline. His efforts in the Star Wars sequels earned the disapproval of critics and fans due to the sagas inconsistent storyline.
It is worth remembering that this is not the only project JJ Abrams is involved in for DC Comics. He is developing Justice League Dark and Constantine series for HBO Max.
