The DC Extended Universe appears to be in a reboot state of mind and ‘The Flash’ seems to be the perfect “pretext” to change some of the storylines, but apparently the changes will be much more radical within the DCEU, since it was confirmed that they are already preparing the Superman reboot and the name of Henry Cavill he not been mentioned for the main role, which could mean the farewell of the actor as the man of steel.

Henry Cavill gave life to Superman in ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Justice League’, but after this, we have not seen him wear the suit again. There have been great doubts about his return, since the negotiations for his reprisal were not entirely favorable and it was pursued to at least have him do secondary participations in some films but nothing was ever confirmed.

Just yesterday, it was announced that they are already preparing the Superman reboot and the producer in charge will be JJ Abrams, who was part of Star Wars directing ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘The Rise of Skywalker’, in addition, the scriptwriter will be comic book novelist Ta-Nehisi Coates:

“There is a new, powerful and moving Superman story yet to be told. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with the brilliant Mr. Coates to help bring that story to the big screen, and we’re beyond thankful to the team at Warner Bros. for the opportunity,” Abrams declared.

Curiously, in these negotiations, the name of Henry Cavill was not mentioned, which might mean the departure of the actor from the DC Extended Universe role. Because of this, fans have been taking it to social networks to vouch for the actor, seeking to convince DC to keep him on board as the Last Son of Krypton.
