A large group of crows and wild boars for some extraordinary reason workded together to save a cobra from an inevitable death after being attacked by a mongoose.

Susanta Nanda, an employee of the Indian Forest Service, posted a video on Twitter observing how a herd of wild boars and crows collaborated to save a cobra after a mongoose attack.

The ‘rescue operation’ began when several crows began to fly over the scene of the fight on a muddy road, and their loud cawing apparently attracted the attention of a large group of wild pigs that soon came to the aid of the cobra.

Driving away a mongoose is not an easy task. At first the mammal did not give up and continued its attempts to kill the snake.

However, the collective attack from air and ground took effect and the mongoose had to retreat.

The video soon went viral and on social networks. Many users questioned the strange scenario wondering why the animals would help the snake.

The mongoose is known for its ability and eagerness to kill poisonous snakes such as cobras. Its tough coat as well as thick fur and acetylcholine receptors make it resistant or immune to poison.
