Two dachshunds have given themselves heart and soul to protect a baby who was asleep from a poisonous cobra. Two of the three animals die in this merciless fight.
A story of courage and loyalty has unfolded in the Philippines, Newsflare reports. Two dachshunds clashed with a poisonous snake approaching a small child’s room. This heroic act of the two dogs was filmed by the surveillance camera installed in the courtyard of the house.
For several minutes, the dogs launch themselves against the cobra. The snake responds with quick bites and attacks.
The results of this encounter is bittersweet. The reptile was killed, however, one of the brave protectors, the black dachshund named Maily, was bitten by the cobra and died from the poison. The second dachshund was struck by the poison in the eyes but survived, yet remained blind.
Apparently, the child was at home with his nanny who showed up to the scene hearing the barking and witnessed mostly the end of this “battle” which lasted for several minutes.
