Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves announced his first project as a comic book writer. He will be joining the creator of MIND MGMT, Matt Kindt, and illustrator Alessandro Vitti to launch the his new series BRZRKR.

The monthly series hits comic book stores on October 7 and promises to be full of action and violence. Titled BRZRKR, the comic focuses on a warrior who is, obviously, Keanu Reeves, he leads a violent life while working for the U.S. government in exchange for help to find out about his identity and origin, since he can’t die.

Rafael Grampá, a well-known comic artist who has worked at Marvel, Dark Horse and Image Comics, will be in charge of designing the characters and also the cover art.

BOOM! Editor-in-chief Matt Gagnon, is responsible for publishing the series He spoke to USA Today about his experience working with John Wick on the project:

Reeves, for his part, said that if the comic becomes a film in the future, which will probably happen, would like to play the protagonist. However, the actor made it clear that he would be really happy to see the film happening with or without him.
