Inventor Shane Wighton shared a video that has astounded thousands of Internet users on social networks. It is about an incredible robot that this young man created during quarantine to cut his hair.

The spread of the new coronavirus throughout the world caused the majority of countries to go under quarantine. For this reason, businesses that did not offer essential services or products remained closed, as in the case of hairdressers or barbershops.

Shane Wighton, a content creator and owner of the YouTube channel Stuff Made Here, had not cut his hair for a long time, so he decided to make a robot that would simplify this task. The young man is popular for creating gadgets that aim to make things easier.

Shane filmed himself explaining part of the process used to build the robot and later in the video uses it to test on himself. The video from the popular clip quickly went viral.

In the audiovisual material on YouTube you can see how Wighton explains how he used a vacuum cleaner, to suck up the hair while actual scissors cut it. He also revealed that he used a 3D printer to make most parts of the robot.

As you probably guessed, the most difficult portion of the entire process was the coding. Programming the robot to cut hair in the right section of the head, without hurting the individual, requires accurate calculation. You’ll see in the video how Shane selects the haircut he wants and places his head in the platform, where the device achieves its function.
