The Harry Potter author said that she had been following the advice of her husband, who is a doctor, and now feels “fully recovered.”
JK Rowling , the famous author behind the Harry Potter books, said that for the past few weeks she had been experiencing symptoms that could be attributed to COVID-19.
Although the writer herself acknowledged that an examination has not yet been carried out to confirm or rule out her contagion with the virus, through a publication on her Twitter account she reported that she had suffered respiratory problems.
Rowling did not want to worry her followers and added that she had already “fully recovered” after following the advice of her husband, who is a doctor and had suggested that she perform a series of breathing techniques to alleviate her symptoms.
In that regard, Rowling shared a video from Queens Hospital in the UK where a doctor explains a breathing technique.
“Please watch this doc from Queens Hospital explain how to relieve respiratory symptoms. For last 2 weeks I’ve had all symptoms of C19 (tho haven’t been tested) & did this on doc husband’s advice. I’m fully recovered & technique helped a lot.”

Rowling thanked her followers for their concern and reiterated that she already feels better.
Thank you for your kind and lovely messages! I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that’s recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me. Stay safe, everyone x
