These videos of people singing from their balconies while locked up in their homes have fooled some celebrities. Most of sound in these clips are fake and include songs that were never sung by these neighborhoods. But being funny, they have gone viral.

The meme was born from a video posted by Twitter user valemercurii, which showed an empty street in Siena, Italy. However, when you turn up the volume you can hear that almost all of the neighborhood is singing a popular Italian song. The clip has more than five million views and has already reached more 138,000 “likes”.

The video inspired hundreds of parodies, the most notable being those that show a whole neighborhood singing Eminem songs like Lose Yourself or I’m not Afraid , but, to be honest, it is difficult for an entire street to sing the rapper’s lyrics.

Several celebrities have not noticed that these videos are fake, so singer Katy Perry shared the parody video with her song on Twitter as if it was real.

Other celebrities like Madonna have also fallen for sharing the meme. As well as Shawn Mendes and Jessie J, who were alerted by their fans and deleted the videos.

On this one they song “Beautiful” Christina Aguilera.

But the parodies have reached a new level, as in this video of the neighborhood where they “sing” the theme song from aliens, the movie Annihilation.
